Just dropped by to say hello, so, hello mate!
I'm a bohemian right wing libertarian urban hipster currently living the simple life in Redmond Washington while the storm rages in the rest of the world. I'll be watching this space.
Just more Fox propaganda in cartoon form. Do you take the ducks daily talking point from Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity?
To retcop101: I doubt Mallard borrows from Rush or Sean. There is plenty of material out there.
Thanks Bruce for great laughs -- we need them!!
Love your stuff and I always buy the newspapers out of town and look for you. Get so many laughs for years from NY Post.. Thanks. I think we need another AHCA in America. This time Affordable Home Care Act. It comes that I get lots of leaks in my old home plumbing and blow fuses all the time as I overtax the power. . I cannot afford the plumber or electrician. I need a bail out. I need, "If you like your plumber, you can keep your electrician." Thanks.
One of my top reads in the local paper. Enjoy the perspective.
Lots of topics out there...anything on Putin and Ed Snowden?
I gotta say, you quack me up & like that no one is spared the 'Quack To Their Pretard' ! Keep up the good works; reasonable folk like & need the balance of rational perspective. C'mon folks ! Get Balanced !
"We have met the enemy and they are us"
I hope you are going to credit Walt Kelly"
Politically, "I go Pogo"
Mike Walsh; Heya! I hadn't thought of Pogo, but yer right, & I like it, I do the same. To paraphrase a bit on yer Comment; " In Politico; Ergo, I go Pogo"! Thanks for joining in, always a pleasure to trade snickers with literates! ( Now where's Sam Clemens, when ya need him?!) Har! This observation of the open satire of Mallard's strip The idea of gov. sponsored satrical actors came from ancient Greece; a 'totally democratic' state. They believed it was healthier for its citizens to laugh at gov's bumblings than privately. Maybe they also avoided the PC disease also ? THAT, would be healthy!
Mike McCloud: The Greeks did not take kindly to Socrates critiques, they made him drink hemlock.
I read both Mallard Fillmore and Doonesbury regularly.
That's an interesting duo! I do recall that Socrates did have to take the bitters end. Persecution of the educated is always a resort of tyrants ( who can't stand to hear reason, prefering their own insanity -& excuses). Thanks for the Ree-ply !
Love your stuff! Clever and quite refreshing! Not even afraid to share some faith either!
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
